What brings the most value when refurbishing a kitchen?

When refashioning a kitchen, introducing new storage units is almost always a house owner's first thought. However, if you desire to increase the resale value of your house, think beyond cabinets and consider aspects that bring real benefit - like a freestanding work area or breakfast nook.

What are the pros and drawbacks of kitchen remodeling?

There are many advantages to a kitchen remodel including elevated resale value for your house, bettered ergonomics in your space with an renewed design, and possibly reduced energy expenses due to new materials. However, there is no guarantee that an updated kitchen will lead to the desired increase in your home's worth.

What should you not execute in a kitchen remodel?

When refurbishing your kitchen, be sure to communicate with the constructors and decorators throughout the process.

Don't make any significant design judgments prior to talking it over with a expert because you might regret those choices afterwards on in the project or discover that they are more expensive than you forecasted.

Should my kitchen cupboards go to the top?

The answer is: yes and no.

Storage unit height is a matterof liking in many cases. You could have storage units that go to the top or you may prefer lower cabinets with an open space above them and lights set up for atmospheric illumination.

The ideal way to choose what's perfect for your kitchen makeover is by considering how it would look from different perspectives throughout the kitchen.

What is the life expectancy of kitchen storage units?

Kitchen cupboards have a duration of 30 years. This is due to the dampness in the air and from food messes, which lead them to rust and bend over time.

What are the different forms of kitchen configurations?

There are three fundamental forms of kitchen layouts:

1. Galley Kitchen

A corridor kitchen is typically long and narrow with a individual row of cabinets on one side of the room, and devices on the other. This layout reduces circulation in the kitchen, enabling you to finish tasks without disruptions from others in your home. It is typically used in small spaces where space is limited, and operates best with one or two people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen blueprint features an island or peninsula that functions as a partition between the cooking section and the rest of the room. This design creates more worktop surface area than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This provides the cook a space to prep food that is distinct from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is idle space in the room because no one can walk completely around both end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. 3-Sided Kitchen

A U-shaped kitchen design establishes a large cooking zone with no unused space. This kitchen design includes an island or peninsula that functions as a partition between the cooking area and the rest of the room. The 3-sided kitchen is ideal for socializing. It offers enough surface area to prepare food for groups of people without creating traffic patterns that restrict activity around the cooking section.

4. Combo Kitchen Layouts

Mergers of kitchen designs are very in demand because they offer the advantages of multiple style. For example, a corridor kitchen that opens into a nook is viewed as a mixed layout. The "L" shaped kitchen is also deemed to be a mixed design..This particular layout incorporates an island with seating which is fantastic for hosting.

Do I require to perform something after a kitchen renovation?

Yes, it's essential for you to tidy up any development waste that may have been left on the property by builders or technicians. You also wish to preserve your new floors shielded from being damaged very soon so make sure you position mats at all entrances to the kitchen and protect your new wood flooring with safeguarding sheets throughout this time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
