What contributes the most value when renovating a kitchen?

When refashioning a kitchen, incorporating new storage units is virtually always a property owner's first priority. However, if you wish to increase the market value of your residence, think beyond cabinets and think about aspects that add real benefit - like an island or breakfast nook.

What are the advantages and drawbacks of kitchen remodeling?

There are many advantages to a kitchen remodel including boosted market value for your house, bettered functionality in your space with an refreshed layout, and potentially reduced energy charges due to new materials. However, there is no assurance that an updated kitchen will lead to the wanted growth in your property's importance.

What shouldn't you do in a kitchen renovation?

When renovating your kitchen, make sure to interact with the constructors and decorators throughout the process.

Do not make any major blueprint choices before discussing it over with a specialist because you might regret those determinations later on in the task or discover that they are more expensive than you forecasted.

Should my kitchen cabinets reach to the top?

The reply is: yes and no.

Storage unit height is a matterof preference in most cases. You could have storage units that extend to the ceiling or you may favor lower cabinets with an open space above them and lights integrated for ambient brightness.

The best approach to determine what's perfect for your kitchen renovation is by considering how it would look from various perspectives throughout the kitchen.

What is the life expectancy of kitchen cabinets?

Kitchen cupboards have a lifespan of 30 years. This is due to the humidity in the air and from food spills, which lead them to corrode and twist over time.

What are the different types of kitchen configurations?

There are three fundamental forms of kitchen configurations:

1. Corridor Kitchen

A corridor kitchen is usually long and narrow with a individual row of cabinets on one side of the room, and devices on the other. This layout limits movement in the kitchen, allowing you to carry out activities without disruptions from others in your home. It is typically used in small spaces where space is at a premium, and works best with one or two people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen floor plan includes an island or peninsula that acts as a divider between the cooking area and the rest of the room. This configuration produces more countertop expanse than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This provides the cook a space to prep food that is isolated from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is idle space in the room because no one can walk completely around both end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. U-Shaped Kitchen

A U-shaped kitchen blueprint produces a large cooking area with no wasted space. This kitchen configuration features an island or peninsula that acts as a barrier between the cooking zone and the remainder of the room. The 3-sided kitchen is perfect for hosting. It gives enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without forming traffic patterns that limit movement around the cooking section.

4. Combination Kitchen Designs

Mergers of kitchen designs are very favored because they give the advantages of more than one style. For example, a long and narrow kitchen that opens into a nook is considered a combination design. The "L" shaped kitchen is also considered to be a combination plan..This specific layout incorporates an island with seating which is fantastic for hosting.

Do I have to do anything after a kitchen remodel?

Yes, it's important for you to clear any development debris that may have been left on the premises by workers or technicians. You also want to keep your new floors protected from being scratched very soon so make sure you set mats at all entrances to the kitchen and shield your new wood flooring with defensive sheets throughout this period of time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.
Good Company is fantastic! Great group of folks that are real professionals & genuinely care about their clients. You'll be in good hands with Good Company. Couldn't recommend more for plumbing & remodeling projects.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
