There are three primary forms of kitchen configurations:

A long and narrow kitchen is typically long and narrow with a solitary row of storage units on one side of the room, and gadgets on the other. This layout reduces circulation in the kitchen, allowing you to carry out tasks without disruptions from others in your home. It is commonly used in compact spaces where space is at a premium, and functions best with a couple of people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen layout features an island or peninsula that functions as a barrier between the cooking section and the remainder of the room. This layout generates more countertop space than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This provides the cook an area to prep food that is distinct from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is unused space in the room because no one can walk completely around either end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. 3-Sided Kitchen

A 3-sided kitchen blueprint creates a large cooking zone with no idle space. This kitchen design includes an island or peninsula that functions as a partition between the cooking area and the rest of the room. The U-shaped kitchen is ideal for socializing. It provides enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without forming traffic patterns that limit motion around the cooking section.

4. Combination Kitchen Layouts

Mixes of kitchen layouts are very favored because they give the advantages of multiple design. For example, a corridor kitchen that leads into a nook is considered a blended design. The "L" shaped kitchen is also thought of to be a blended layout..This specific design features an island with sitting space which is great for gathering.

Do I have to do anything after a kitchen remodel?

Yes, it's essential for you to clean up any construction rubble that may have been left behind on the premises by builders or technicians. You also want to maintain your new floors guarded from being damaged very soon so be certain you set mats at all doors to the kitchen and shield your new wood flooring with defensive sheets throughout this period of time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
