What brings the most worth when refurbishing a kitchen?

When overhauling a kitchen, introducing new cabinets is virtually always a house owner's first priority. However, if you wish to enhance the resale value of your home, think beyond cabinets and think about elements that add real benefit - like an unattached counter or breakfast nook.

What are the benefits and drawbacks of kitchen makeover?

There are many benefits to a kitchen remodel including elevated resale value for your home, enhanced functionality in your space with an updated design, and potentially lowered power expenses due to new materials. However, there is no guarantee that an refreshed kitchen will contribute to the wanted rise in your house's worth.

What shouldn't you do in a kitchen remodel?

When refurbishing your kitchen, be sure to interact with the builders and planners throughout the journey.

Don't make any significant design choices prior to talking it over with a specialist because you might regret those determinations later on in the undertaking or realize that they are more expensive than you forecasted.

Should my kitchen cabinets extend to the ceiling?

The response is: yes and no.

Storage unit height is a matterof liking in most cases. You could have storage units that reach to the roof or you may favor lower cabinets with an open space above them and lighting installed for ambient illumination.

The best method to determine what's suitable for your kitchen makeover is by thinking about how it would seem from multiple viewpoints throughout the kitchen.

What is the duration of kitchen storage units?

Kitchen cabinets have a duration of 30 years. This is due to the humidity in the air and from food splatters, which lead them to rust and warp over time.

What are the various types of kitchen designs?

There are three primary types of kitchen designs:

1. Galley Kitchen

A long and narrow kitchen is typically long and narrow with a individual row of storage units on one side of the room, and appliances on the other. This design minimizes traffic flow in the kitchen, permitting you to complete activities without interruptions from others in your household. It is typically used in compact spaces where space is at a premium, and operates best with a couple of people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen floor plan features an island or peninsula that functions as a barrier between the cooking area and the remainder of the room. This configuration creates more countertop surface area than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This gives the cook a space to prep food that is separate from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is idle room in the room because no one can walk fully around any side of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. U-Shaped Kitchen

A 3-sided kitchen layout creates a large cooking space with no wasted space. This kitchen layout includes an island or peninsula that serves as a divider between the cooking section and the rest of the room. The U-shaped kitchen is ideal for socializing. It offers enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without creating traffic patterns that limit movement around the cooking zone.

4. Combo Kitchen Layouts

Combinations of kitchen designs are very popular because they offer the pros of several style. For example, a corridor kitchen that extends into a nook is considered a blended plan. The "L" shaped kitchen is also considered to be a mixed design..This unique layout includes an island with sitting space which is great for hosting.

Do I have to do something after a kitchen makeover?

Yes, it's important for you to tidy up any development waste that may have been left behind on the grounds by contractors or technicians. You also want to keep your new floors protected from being scratched right away so make sure you position mats at all entryways to the kitchen and protect your new wood floors with defensive sheets during this time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
