What contributes the most value when refurbishing a kitchen?

When overhauling a kitchen, introducing new storage units is virtually always a house owner's first thought. However, if you want to boost the resale value of your house, think beyond cabinets and consider aspects that contribute real benefit - like an island or breakfast nook.

What are the advantages and cons of kitchen remodeling?

There are many advantages to a kitchen remodel including increased resale value for your residence, enhanced usability in your space with an updated configuration, and possibly decreased power expenses due to new materials. However, there is no assurance that an refreshed kitchen will lead to the desired rise in your home's value.

What should you not do in a kitchen remodel?

When renovating your kitchen, be sure to interact with the builders and designers throughout the journey.

Should my kitchen cabinets extend to the top?

The reply is: yes and no.

Cupboard height is a matterof choice in several cases. You could have cupboards that go to the roof or you may prefer lower cupboards with an open space above them and lighting integrated for atmospheric lighting.

The best approach to determine what's perfect for your kitchen remodel is by considering how it would seem from various angles throughout the kitchen.

What is the lifespan of kitchen storage units?

Kitchen cabinets have a life expectancy of 30 years. This is due to the dampness in the air and from food splatters, which cause them to corrode and twist over time.

What are the various kinds of kitchen configurations?

There are three primary types of kitchen configurations:

1. Corridor Kitchen

A corridor kitchen is usually long and narrow with a single row of cabinets on one side of the room, and devices on the other. This style limits circulation in the kitchen, allowing you to complete tasks without disruptions from others in your household. It is typically used in tiny areas where space is at a premium, and functions best with one or two people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen blueprint includes an island or peninsula that serves as a divider between the cooking area and the remainder of the room. This layout creates more worktop surface area than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This gives the cook a zone to prep food that is isolated from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is unused room in the room because no one can walk fully around both end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. U-Shaped Kitchen

A 3-sided kitchen blueprint establishes a large cooking zone with no wasted space. This kitchen configuration boasts an island or peninsula that acts as a divider between the cooking section and the rest of the room. The 3-sided kitchen is perfect for socializing. It offers enough surface area to prepare food for groups of people without creating traffic patterns that inhibit movement around the cooking area.

4. Combination Kitchen Floor Plans

Mergers of kitchen layouts are very favored because they provide the advantages of more than one style. For example, a corridor kitchen that opens into a nook is considered a combination layout. The "L" shaped kitchen is also considered to be a mixed design..This specific design features an island with seating which is fantastic for hosting.

Do I require to perform something after a kitchen renovation?

Yes, it's important for you to clear any construction waste that may have been abandoned on the property by workers or technicians. You also want to maintain your new floors protected from being scratched as soon as possible so ensure you place mats at all entrances to the kitchen and cover your new wood floors with defensive sheets throughout this time-frame.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
