What adds the most worth when refurbishing a kitchen?

When remodeling a kitchen, introducing new cabinets is almost always a property owner's first consideration. However, if you desire to increase the market value of your house, think beyond cabinets and contemplate aspects that add real value - like a freestanding work area or breakfast recess.

What are the benefits and drawbacks of kitchen makeover?

There are many benefits to a kitchen remodel including boosted market value for your house, enhanced ergonomics in your space with an updated layout, and potentially reduced energy charges due to new materials. However, there is no guarantee that an renewed kitchen will lead to the desired growth in your house's value.

What should you not execute in a kitchen renovation?

When refurbishing your kitchen, be certain to communicate with the contractors and decorators throughout the procedure.

Don't make any crucial layout choices before talking it over with a expert because you might regret those choices afterwards on in the task or find out that they are pricier than you expected.

Should my kitchen cupboards go to the ceiling?

The answer is: yes and no.

Storage unit height is a matterof choice in many cases. You could have cabinets that reach to the top or you may favor lower cupboards with an open space above them and lights installed for surrounding brightness.

The ideal method to choose what's perfect for your kitchen renovation is by pondering how it would appear from different viewpoints throughout the kitchen.

What is the life expectancy of kitchen storage units?

Kitchen storage units have a duration of 30 years. This is due to the dampness in the air and from food splatters, which cause them to corrode and warp over time.

What are the distinct forms of kitchen configurations?

There are three primary types of kitchen designs:

1. Galley Kitchen

A galley kitchen is typically long and narrow with a individual row of storage units on one side of the room, and devices on the other. This layout limits traffic flow in the kitchen, permitting you to carry out tasks without distractions from others in your home. It is usually used in tiny areas where space is scarce, and functions best with one or two people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen design features an island or peninsula that acts as a barrier between the cooking zone and the rest of the room. This layout generates more worktop space than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This gives the cook an area to prep food that is separate from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is unused space in the room because no one can walk entirely around any end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. U-Shaped Kitchen

A U-shaped kitchen blueprint produces a large cooking zone with no wasted space. This kitchen configuration boasts an island or peninsula that functions as a partition between the cooking section and the remainder of the room. The U-shaped kitchen is perfect for entertaining. It gives enough working space to prepare food for groups of people without forming traffic patterns that limit motion around the cooking zone.

4. Combo Kitchen Floor Plans

Combinations of kitchen floor plans are very in demand because they give the pros of multiple design. For example, a long and narrow kitchen that leads into a nook is considered a combination design. The "L" shaped kitchen is also thought of to be a mixed design..This specific blueprint features an island with sitting space which is great for entertaining.

Do I have to perform anything after a kitchen renovation?

Yes, it's important for you to clean up any construction rubble that may have been left behind on the property by contractors or installation experts. You also need to preserve your new floors shielded from being damaged very soon so make sure you position mats at all entryways to the kitchen and cover your new wood ground with safeguarding sheets during this period of time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.
Good Company is fantastic! Great group of folks that are real professionals & genuinely care about their clients. You'll be in good hands with Good Company. Couldn't recommend more for plumbing & remodeling projects.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
