Kitchen cabinets have a life expectancy of 30 years. This is due to the moisture in the air and from food spills, which result in them to corrode and bend over time.

What are the different types of kitchen layouts?

There are three fundamental types of kitchen layouts:

1. Long and Narrow Kitchen

A long and narrow kitchen is usually long and narrow with a individual row of cupboards on one side of the room, and gadgets on the other. This style reduces circulation in the kitchen, enabling you to complete activities without disruptions from others in your home. It is commonly used in tiny areas where space is limited, and operates best with a couple of people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen design features an island or peninsula that functions as a barrier between the cooking area and the rest of the room. This configuration produces more worktop expanse than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This gives the cook a region to prep food that is isolated from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is unused area in the room because no one can walk completely around any end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. 3-Sided Kitchen

A U-shaped kitchen floor plan establishes a large cooking area with no idle space. This kitchen design includes an island or peninsula that functions as a barrier between the cooking zone and the rest of the room. The U-shaped kitchen is perfect for socializing. It offers enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without forming traffic patterns that limit motion around the cooking zone.

4. Combo Kitchen Designs

Mixes of kitchen designs are very in demand because they give the benefits of multiple style. For example, a galley kitchen that leads into a nook is viewed as a combination layout. The "L" shaped kitchen is also thought of to be a mixed design..This specific blueprint features an island with sitting space which is perfect for hosting.

Do I have to do something after a kitchen renovation?

Yes, it's essential for you to clean up any construction rubble that may have been left behind on the premises by contractors or installation experts. You also wish to maintain your new floors guarded from being scuffed right away so make sure you place mats at all doors to the kitchen and shield your new wood floors with safeguarding sheets throughout this time.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.
Good Company is fantastic! Great group of folks that are real professionals & genuinely care about their clients. You'll be in good hands with Good Company. Couldn't recommend more for plumbing & remodeling projects.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
