This configuration generates more countertop space than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This provides the cook a region to prep food that is isolated from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is idle space in the room because no one can walk fully around any end of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. 3-Sided Kitchen

A 3-sided kitchen blueprint produces a large cooking area with no unused space. This kitchen layout boasts an island or peninsula that serves as a barrier between the cooking section and the rest of the room. The U-shaped kitchen is ideal for socializing. It gives enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without forming traffic patterns that restrict motion around the cooking zone.

4. Combination Kitchen Layouts

Mixes of kitchen floor plans are very favored because they give the advantages of multiple style. For example, a galley kitchen that extends into a nook is viewed as a blended plan. The "L" shaped kitchen is also deemed to be a combination plan..This particular design incorporates an island with seating which is ideal for hosting.

Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
