It is commonly used in small areas where space is limited, and operates best with a couple of people cooking.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-shaped kitchen design includes an island or peninsula that serves as a partition between the cooking area and the rest of the room. This design generates more worktop surface area than galley and U-shaped kitchens. This provides the cook a region to prep food that is distinct from where other family members are able to sit and visit. However, there is wasted area in the room because no one can walk fully around any side of the kitchen island/peninsula.

3. U-Shaped Kitchen

A 3-sided kitchen floor plan produces a large cooking zone with no idle space. This kitchen layout boasts an island or peninsula that functions as a partition between the cooking section and the remainder of the room. The 3-sided kitchen is perfect for socializing. It gives enough countertop space to prepare food for groups of people without creating traffic patterns that limit movement around the cooking section.

4. General-Purpose Kitchen Floor Plans

Combinations of kitchen designs are very in demand because they offer the advantages of multiple design. For example, a galley kitchen that opens into a nook is regarded as a mixed layout. The "L" shaped kitchen is also considered to be a mixed design..This unique layout incorporates an island with seating which is fantastic for hosting.

Design/build for a laundry room addition and kitchen remodel. Excellent communication up front as we tried to stay within a budget, worked with us where our ideas went a bit over. Excellent work from all the subs, project managers were on top of things and addressed our questions and changes well. I’d highly recommend them for any size job.
Good Company is fantastic! Great group of folks that are real professionals & genuinely care about their clients. You'll be in good hands with Good Company. Couldn't recommend more for plumbing & remodeling projects.

My wife and I used Good Company Construction on a MAJOR remodel of our house including a complete gutting of the kitchen, complete new flooring throughout the house, painting throughout, raising the sunken living room floor, new baseboards and trim, a new (and relocated) island in the kitchen, quartz countertops, installing new ceiling beams in the living room, and building custom cabinets in kitchen and living room. I'm sure I'm leaving some things out. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work. Colton Cook, the owner of the company, and Mathew Kruse, the site supervisor, not only did an outstanding job but were also great to work with. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. I should also add that they not only did quality work, but they are quality people as well. We are VERY happy with the end product. They next time we need anything done on the house (though I do hope it's a while) we will call Good Company first. We can't recommend them highly enough.
